Silo, Brighton
Emma Bates
I've been to Brighton a number of times over the years as it doesn't take too long to drive from my parents house but before last week I hadn't been for ages. Brooke and I headed down to check out what the city had to offer for a night. We got up relatively early the next morning and headed into town in pursuit of some breakfast.
I'd been recommended to check out Silo by a friend who lives in Brighton and she said it would be 'right up my street.' She was right. This is a food instagram-ers haven, it's white and grey with wooden stools and benches. The food is all served in gorgeous crockery with jars used as water glasses.
I highly recommend checking Silo out for brunch if you happen to be in Brighton or living there, their porridge is delicious. It's made using a number of grains including quinoa and oats with almond milk. They also have delicious homemade sourdough bread which was amazing with their seasonal fruit compote. Be sure to bring your camera or at least capture a photo on your phone, it really is gorgeously simple!
Whenever I next head down to Brighton I will be going back!
